Put to the test over months of production in Studio Y'all, this HB drawing pencil is the perfect pencil for sketching designs on bisque. HB means "hard" and "black", making this pencil easy to use with little effort. The pencil's hardness keeps smudging to a minimum and the color is dark enough to show through a lightly applied background color. Lightly sketched pencil lines fire out and do not leave indentations in the glaze*. This pencil is intentionally without an eraser, keeping down instances of rubber interfering with glaze if a customer has erased too heavily. If a sketching mistake needs to be fixed, simply wipe your hand over the design to wipe it away or use a piece of tape to pull up the pencil lines.
*As with all pencils, heavily applied pencil lines may cause glaze issues during the firing process. Always sketch lightly to avoid issues.
