This Sintered Diamond Grinding Point is a professional-grade grinding tool designed for removing excess glaze from fired stoneware, earthenware, and glass. Unlike standard diamond-coated tools that only feature a surface layer of diamond grit, this sintered diamond point contains diamond all the way through the grinding head, delivering exceptional longevity, consistent cutting performance, and a uniform finish throughout the life of the tool.
The 140-grit grinding head is ideal for smoothing glaze drips, cleaning foot rings, refining edges, and correcting fired imperfections. It features a standard 1/8" steel shank that fits most Dremel®-style rotary tools, making it an easy addition to any ceramic or glass studio.
For best results, always use this tool wet. Water helps prevent overheating, which protects the diamond matrix and maintains optimal cutting performance. The grinding head can also be refreshed and reshaped using an aluminum oxide dressing stick to keep it performing at its best.
