Half shelves allow you to load your kilm more efficiently, and get the most out of the space! This half shelf measures 1" in thickness, making it ideal for high fire stoneware firings. The 1227 kiln models have 2 different shelf thicknesses available, 1” and 5/8” thick.

Half shelves allow you to load your kiln more efficiently and get the most out of the space! This shelf measures 1" in thickness, making it ideal for high-fire stoneware firings. The thickness of the shelf can determine whether or not it can withstand high temperatures without warping. These shelves are a little heavier, but they hold up much better to the extreme heat without warping.
