Designed for Cone 5/6, these fluid satin glazes produce shimmery matte surfaces with a pearly sheen and subtle micro-crystalline effects that add depth and dimension.

Add subtle shimmer, velvety color, and beautiful movement to your work with AMACO Pearlescent Stoneware Glazes! Designed for Cone 5/6, these fluid satin glazes produce shimmery matte surfaces with a pearly sheen and subtle micro-crystalline effects that add depth and dimension.

Apply 3 coats for best results. Pearlescents are completely intermixable, allowing you to create custom colors, and they layer beautifully with one another for even more velvety, shimmering variation. They can also be paired with other AMACO Cone 5/6 glazes, including Potter's Choice, or used with underglazes to soften colors, add shimmer, and increase flow.

Because Pearlescents are fluid and can run, apply fewer coats near the bottom of your piece or use a stable Satin Matte glaze or Velvet Underglaze to help catch the flow. A vertical test tile is recommended to see how each glaze moves before applying it to your final piece.
