Get ready for texture that's truly out of this world! Colors Moon Rocks is a dimensional stoneware glaze line designed to create dramatic, raised and puffed texture with tons of visual interest. Each color comes packaged in a convenient wide-mouth, squatty pint that's easy to stir and access during application.

Stir well and apply 3-6 coats to greenware or stoneware bisque, alternating brush directions with each coat. Allow each layer to lose its glossy sheen before adding the next, continuing until hairline cracks begin to appear. Handle carefully before firing; heavier applications will create a more pronounced dimensional texture.

Layer different Moon Rocks colors using 1-2 coats of each for unique combinations, adding more coats for increased puff and texture. Moon Rocks can also be applied over Underglazes and Stoneware Engobes; for better adhesion, bisque-fire the underglaze or engobe to Cone 04 before applying Moon Rocks.

Texture and color may change or become more pronounced at higher firing temperatures. Results can vary based on clay body, application thickness, firing schedule, temperature, and layering, so testing is recommended. Moon Rocks glazes are AP Certified, but due to their dimensional texture, they are not recommended for dinnerware surfaces.
