Selling on Etsy is pretty easy and self explanatory when setting up your account. Simply go to Etsy and find where it says "sell on Etsy". From there you will login or create a new account. You will get around to the page where you need to set everything up for your shop.
When you get to the point to add a product, you will have lots to fill out. One of the most important things to know when on this section is about the carb hole. DO NOT show the carb hole in any of your pictures. Don't mention anything about the carb hole either. The reason for this, is in their policies, stated here:
"Drug paraphernalia, including, for example: items with a carburetor; slides and/or items with a slide; bongs and bubblers; vaporizers and their components." So bongs are not allowed nor any water pipes.
So other then selling water pipes and showing the carb holes on pipes, your good to sell. Remember, if you don't listen to what I am telling you, Etsy will shut your account down. They might give you two shut downs before it is permanent. Selling on Etsy is like having your own site that you don't even pay for other then a percentage of sales, so don't mess this opportunity up!
You might think that people would want to know if it has the carb, or that they might have wanted it with no carb hole. But it seems most buyers already know this as the standard practice. Surprisingly in over 125 sales on Etsy, I have only had maybe 2 people message me about it. If they care enough they will message you and ask. Relax and don't worry to much about it.
There are plenty of other resources out there to help provide you with the information on how to set up your Etsy account from start to finish. But this quick post is just for pipe makers trying to sell on Etsy to support themselves. It doesn't matter if it is glass, ceramic, or something else, know the rules before you participate. It's not fair having to learn this the hard way, so hopefully you read this on time.
